The Burel Factory

Over the years we have worked with many international suppliers, but we are always more proud when we collaborate with Portuguese companies that provide unique and high-quality products. An excellent example is Burel Mountain Originals, with whom we have cooperated on many office projects.

The history of the brand began in 1947, the year that saw the birth of Lanificio Império, the most important wool factory in the region of Serra da Estrela. In 2010 the factory was discovered by two mountain explorers, João Tomás and Isabel Costa, who, after realizing the heritage and the cultural value of the space, decided not to let Burel die and proceed with the recovery of the factory that becomes Burel Factory.

In addition to the many applications of this wool fabric, from blankets to clothing, among others, the most significant use has been in interior architecture and it is here that Vector Mais has collaborated intensively with this Portuguese brand. The burel's versatility and robustness associated with its excellent thermal and acoustic quality make the fabric an obvious choice for architects and interior designers who want to give their projects a unique look.

The diversity of colors and 3D stitches make it possible to customize each project and its applications. From lining the walls of phone booths and meeting rooms to the production of acoustic panels and decorative elements, burel stands out as an excellent solution for interiors, something that we have already proven in many projects built by Vector Mais such as Nokia, OLX , Deloitte, KPMG and PLMJ.
