Designing a branded space for a company
Designing an office adapted to a company is much more than placing the logo at the reception or adopting a specific colour scheme. It is essential to mirror the brand's values, culture, and history in the physical space without ever forgetting employees' well-being and work dynamics. When designing and building a project, we always take into account the following factors:
1 - Develop a local identity
When designing an office, it is always important to reflect on its surroundings, thus increasing the connection to the city and the local team. This is particularly evident in multinationals, where it is necessary to maintain its global identity without losing references to Portugal.
At Avenue's office in Chiado, Lisbon served as an inspiration for creating signage and naming for meeting rooms and offices.
2 - Tell the story of the company
Although new offices are created for companies' present (and future), it is essential not to forget its history. Depending on the business field, we do this by displaying physical products or graphic elements associated with the brand's journey.
At Locarent's office, a painting illustrating the history of the renting company (which resulted from the joint efforts of CGD and the former BES) was an integral part of the cafeteria decoration.
3 - Reflect the company's values and culture
Each company has its values, and this must be transmitted through the physical space. Whether it reflects a financial institution's stability or the innovation of a start-up, corporate culture is an important starting point for any project.
The reception's bold design at the Devexperts office in Porto reflects the German tech start-up's dynamism and vision.
4 - Engage all the senses
To increase employees' productivity and well-being, the office must be a place that stimulates the senses. We achieve this through the furniture's comfort, the acoustic quality, the materials texture and the strategically located lighting.
We developed Banco BAI Europa's reception to engage the senses, whether through furniture, lighting, floors or wooden partitions.
5 - Create a custom solution
When we design an office, we always approach each project with fresh eyes. In addition to developing bespoke carpentry solutions, the choice of colours, materials and furniture is always unique, creating an original identity for each company.
In the IQVIA cafeteria, we have developed a series of tailor-made solutions, such as tables, booths and benches, making the space unique.
