Novo Banco

General Contractor: Vector Mais
Project: Havas
Size: 250 m²
Location: Fonte Nova, Lisboa

Novo Banco is one of the great references of the Portuguese financial system, having hundreds of branches in Portugal and assuming since its foundation a commitment to innovation and a vision focused on the future. Following this philosophy, the bank hired Havas to renew the image of the branches, in a strategy that involves implementing different formats and investing on a closer interaction with customers.

Wishing to recreate the image of the typical bank branch, Havas has developed a new concept that is more welcoming, sustainable and inspiring, a real sharing space between the bank and its customers. Vector Mais collaborated closely with Havas to build the Fonte Nova agency in Lisbon, which stands out for its comfortable environment, the use of natural materials and the diversity of service spaces.

Luís Ribeiro, Managing Director, Novo Banco

In an interview with Dinheiro Vivo:
“It is the bank’s biggest investment for the coming years.” That is how Luís Ribeiro, managing director of Novo Banco, presents the plan that promises to revolutionize the institution’s branch network. For Novo Banco, the bank branch has not died and can be complementary to the increase in demand for mobile banking services.
The strategy is to implement different formats of branches and invest on a closer interaction and adjusted to the various customer segments. It also includes an investment in “new machines” and “the bank's omnichannel platform”. “We have a big project. One of the novelties that we are going to bring to the market this year is a new distribution model,” said Luís Ribeiro, in an interview with Dinheiro Vivo. “Going to the bank is not fun. We have to create a different experience. If I have the best branches, in the best locations, I have to create the best relationship with customers.”
