Devexperts II

General Contractor: Vector Mais
Project: Vector Mais
Area: 1.100 m²
Location: Porto

After designing and building the Devexperts research centre in 2018, awarded at the London Design Awards 2019, Vector Mais was again chosen by the German company to expand its office in Porto. Following the same logic as the original project, Vector Mais designed a fluid, dynamic and welcoming office with a wide variety of spaces to work, meet or collaborate.

The partitions that zigzag through the office, the exposed ceilings, and the use of materials such as Burel, used in curtains and wall coverings, stand out in this serene work environment. The furniture supplied by Vector Mais was also crucial in the project, providing comfort to the workspace and framing the various areas with an appealing colour palette.

Paulo Pina Pires, CEO, Devexperts Portugal

Vector Mais’s work was excellent, from the interpretation of who we are and what we wanted with the new space in the same way as the previous one to the execution of the project and the care with the details. A workspace should be lived in, not just admired or functionally inhabited, and ensuring that comfort, quality in the user experience, efficiency and flexibility are compatible with creativity and an inspiring aesthetic was a challenge that gave us great satisfaction to overcome.

How significant is the expansion to this new space?
Our expansion was fundamental for the sustainability of Devexperts' growth in Portugal. We have been able to attract and retain excellent local and international talent, and we needed to ensure that all our employees could experience the Devexperts' culture in a welcoming but inspiring space.

More than just building a pleasant physical space, we wanted to maintain our identity and prepare the company for current and future challenges, namely through greater creativity in using areas in a flexible operating model, a goal that we entirely achieved.
